Alumni

Our dedicated alumni are the foundation of Punahou’s global network of support and lifelong friendships. You may contribute to the campaign at any time, either outside your five-year reunion cycle, or through the longstanding tradition of reunion giving. Reunion year or not, any gift you make will be counted as part of your Class Gift for that year, as well as an individual gift. Individual gift participation and Class gift totals are included in the annual report of gifts, Giving to Punahou.

Reunion Giving

Reunions represent a significant opportunity to reconnect with old friends as well as Punahou. Over the decades, Reunion Class Gifts have supported building campaigns, endowments for financial aid, specific curricular and faculty programs, created special areas on campus and supported the operation of the school.

A Reunion Class Gift is any type of gift made during your reunion year, and all gifts support Ku‘u Punahou. Alumni are recognized for their individual gifts, and their Class is recognized for its combined contribution to Punahou during Alumni Week.

Your reunion year coincides with the School's fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. Any gift given in that period is counted in your Reunion Class Gift.

Reunion Committees

Reunion class committees work year-round to create a memorable Alumni Reunion Week, filled with class activities and events that showcase the School initiatives and celebrate the individuals who perpetuate the legacy of the School.

Reunion class members receive an invitation to “Reunite” in August and learn more about committee participation, before their class-specific “Get Involved” reunion kickoff meetings in September.

The Class Reunion Committee works closely with the Reunion Team in Alumni Relations. The Office of Alumni Relations supports and guides the Committee throughout the year. Punahou suggests organizing a reunion committee comprised of a diverse group of classmates to plan Alumni Week class activities and to inspire the generosity of classmates to pay it forward with a class gift. Each reunion committee will be asked to identify chair(s) to lead the activity and gift initiatives.
