Deconstruction of the Winne Units is nearing completion, which will result in the current construction zone expanding mauka on Oct. 25, 2016.
With students returning to campus on Aug. 25, construction of the new grades 2 – 5 neighborhood has shifted from Phase 1a to Phase 1b, which includes the remaining studios for grades 2 – 5 and the K – 8 Learning Commons.
As phase 1a of the new grades 2 – 5 neighborhood nears completion, landscaping work around the new buildings has accelerated. Shades of green from newly planted grasses, ferns and, of course, hala trees, have provided warmth to the previously bare construction site.
Several faculty and staff toured the new grades 2 – 5 neighborhood at the end of May. The first phase of the project is nearing completion and faculty will be moving in over the summer.
Construction of the new grades 2 – 5 neighborhood continues to progress rapidly. Much of the wood siding has been installed, revealing the buildings' exterior visual design.
